Nobody knows bcltoys. :( Mid March was mentioned at the announcement in Barcelona. I'm guessing more like first of April. You will have to check regularly with your carrier's and their website. No matter how long the wait... it will seem forever. :)
Exactly, HTC can only announce their release date.

They don't have legal rights to speak for carriers.

There is a link in the OP where you can sign up with your carrier to get update information on the M9. Just added a link for T-Mobile so you can get updates from them.

So currently the OP has Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, & T-Mobile links to get email updates for when each carrier will release their phones.

Definitely will take the darker version. That S6 glass back sure look pretty, but I can imagine how it is with fingerprints and I would be scared to crack it/scratch it up even with GG4. Plus I wonder how that glass on the back affects heat dissipation under load & how it handles warm hand >cold granite counters.

My only potential disappointment with the M9 is the lack of OIS and the camera in general. (Bring OIS back already...It worked great on the M7) Only time will tell though. Welcome to the second waiting game! Who will have it first...

WHY NAMRAK?!...lol

Haha, sorry to disappoint. I picked it up earlier today. It's only slightly taller than my Note 2.

There aren't really any Android phablets with premium construction out right now. I was considering the Nexus 6, but it's too big and the Note 4 has a ton of bloat. I only really use my phone for calls, texts, GPS, camera, and a couple of forum browsing apps. The iPhone fits my needs well there. The construction and battery life are absolutely superb. The only things I'm missing are a file browser and torrent app, which I can get once the new jailbreak is released. On top of that the iPhone integrates very nicely with my MacBook. I can call, text, and pick up browsing right where I left off on my iPhone with Apple's Handoff and FaceTime integration.

I'm still an Android lover at heart, I just need something that doesn't reboot or freeze at the most inconvenient times. I waited and hoped HTC could fill my needs and preferences, however, even though the m9 is a superb phone it isn't for me in its current form factor.

A nice break from Android will allow me to better appreciate it when I switch back.

Enjoy your new toys :)

Edit: my main gripe about iOS is a hard to read UI. Fonts can be too small or too faint to read easily.

Best wishes ole bean in my best British accent.

I have been thinking about Apple as well. I think we were all expecting something different and didn't get what we were hoping for. It's a bit funny that we were expecting a phablet from HTC and they totally didn't make one. HTC is shifting gears since Apple decided to get into the large screen cell phone market. They are trying to diversify their products. Or maybe the One Max didn't sell so well.

I do wonder if HTC had a bunch of aluminum body's from the old M8 sitting around and thought it was best to reuse the aluminum. Much cheaper.....

I'm glad they didn't. I don't ever want a phablet but I might get myself one of these at some point.

It's a good move from HTC - especially since Samsung have removed their microSD card support in the new GS6. The SDCard support was the reason why I went with the GS3 in 2012 when HTC brought out the One X. Now they have swapped positions.

My first android was the HTC Desire which I loved at the time, and now I have a reason to return to HTC.

Any Deals or Rebates info out there for this new M9?
I remember when I got the M7 it had a promo to get a $100 rebate card (that never worked for me, wish I could get ahold of someone about that BS!)

I hope the "chatter" about camera upgrades is true ... That is my biggest disappointment from the M7 (photo quality / almost no zoom) I could be fine with the M7 for a while longer, but if that M9 really gets the camera function squared away I would upgrade for sure

I'm on Sprint (Contract) but bought the M7 at BestBuy because of the warranty and free 0% financing through the BestBuy card :)

BEST BUY usually has various incentives such as Gift Cards/trade-in allowances & reward $'s for Reward Zone members (or whatever they're calling it these days) for all BB purchases.
Combine 'em all together & you can easily walk away w/a M9 on opening day w/little or nothing out-of-pocket w/an on-contract price.
Connect your BB account to an educational institution e-mail account & you may get even more incentives.
I know of a currently active A/F member who squeezes BB with all the above & possibly more & hasn't spent a dime out-of-pocket for an on-contract upgrade in years.
BB incentives aren't as lucrative as in the past, but, a little work should net some savings.
Off-contract for a brand-new flagship smartphone @ BB is another story altogether. Even with incentives, you'd probably do better just about anywhere else.
