Yeah, I noticed that too when I was on MIUI (has some tiamat kernel default). And this week I switched back to myns for a while, and my battery has been much, much worse. I usually keep data off when not using it, but for the last week of miui I left it on, and my battery lasted almost all day ( I have crap coverage, so jumping around kills the battery), and this week with myn's battery life has been awful. Recharge mid day. Not doing anything different either.
