Help Unlimited Characters in SMS

How do i get android to type unlimited characters in SMS?

If the original Poster is a Tmobile user.

On my sidekick I just typed and typed and typed, and it automatically split it into 160 character txts. Doesn't Android do that too? I think both platforms join back those type of txts as well.

You can not get unlimited characters in a single SMS, there is a size restriction per SMS, so like dkaufman said, they get split in the background making it seem like it's unlimited.
