Root Lost Ringtones

I am running CTMod 3.68 and Kernel 2.5

Somehow I selected the wrong thing and now the only ringtone available for alarms and incoming calls is facebook pop. Is there anyway to fix this?

Did you delete them totally? If not you would just select another 1 and apply it. Or you can get zedge and use that they have tons of ringtones and wallpapers, alerts and everything

I think what he did was select the wrong thing for selecting ringtones. I seem to recall two things coming up for ringtone picker. He probably selected the wrong thing and made it the default thus every time he chooses to pick a ringtone only the external/sd card ones show instead of showing the internal ones.

Go into Settings> Applications and clear the default. Only problem is which one did he choose for default.

Someone help me out here. My prevail is not in operation right now.

No I did not delete them altogether. I think this is exactly what I did. There was a list to choose from including system ringtones, zedge, and music. I was trying to set an alarm last night under clock. Somehow I selected something to be a default and now my only option is facebook pop, which is some popping noise. It does not give me any other options. I tried going into settings and clear the default but did not have any luck. Thanks.

this is why i make backups everytime i fool around with things and make changes. if you have made a backup recently, just restore the backup and you will be back to before you did any of this and can try again. if have no recent backups then start now after figure this out and make one now incase you screw up, you can always get back to here and try again to fix. sorry no help on the problem, if think of anything will let you know and everyone else is thinking too.:D

Here are my 2c for a possible fix !

1. I'd uninstall Zedge rebbot and see if there are now other ringtones available
2. I'd go to the phones ringtone folder and see if they are all there or if they got somehow deleted. ( system/media/audio )
3. I would browse on the SD-Card to : \media\music and create 3 new folders under music, named : Ringtones / Notifications / Alarms
4. Would go online, and search for a few "Ringtones, Alarms and Notification" sounds and copy them there

This way you can have any Alarm or Ringtone or Notification you want.....

Hope it works.

Also go to /system/media and delete any file called .nomedia in that folder or subfolders. App might have placed it their so only its tones are shown

Mite have to enable a "show hidden files" option depending on file browser
I uninstalled Zedge and rebooted and everything was back to normal.
;)
