Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM][NDC][STOCK][4.4.2][KITKAT][ROOTED][ODEXED/DEODEXED]- Virgin Mobile/Boost Mobile

Hi, I've been trying for the last few days to get this to work but with no success, could you break it down for me? I'm on the people rom 4.1.1,so from there I flashed the tar file to get the kk bootloader via Odin then I flashed twrp, then flashed the deodex rom(that's the right, right?) but right there is where I get stuck, it just fails and can't get past that, do I have to get a different rom? I tried with the people's rom again but it's a no go.

Twrp always has trouble on this phone. Try philz. Or if you like twrp and plan to keep it, try putting the zip you plan to flash on internal SD. Twrp has problems mounting ext SD.

Hi everyone, I know this threads a bit old, but I've run into some trouble while trying to flash my boost s3... I've followed the instructions, used odin to flash the tar file, then flashed the deodexed rom file using philz and when the phone rebooted it seemed to work fine. Could make calls etc. but my wifi would not turn on. Hoping the ndc modem would do the trick, i flashed that and now i have no network connection (can't make calls, no bars and big red 'X') and the wifi still does not work.

I have tried redoing the entire process and I'm now getting errors in Odin while trying to install the tar mentioned in this thread. The errors are:
<ID:0/006> Odin v.3 engine (ID:6)..
<ID:0/006> File analysis..
<ID:0/006> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<ID:0/006> Added!!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

And the Odin Mode on my phone says:
Odin Mode
Product Name: SPH-L710T
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Reactivation Lock: Off
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1
Bootloader AP SWREV: 2
Secure Check Fail: sbl2

I have been able to install other tars via odin successfully, but the network connection still does not work. At this point, all I ask is to get the phone back to stock so I can use it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I kinda need my phone.

Hi, I apologize for my newbness. You all have been super helpful. My good old s3 has some serious corrupted system files (I'm guessing) so time for an upgrade and hopefully a phone that is stable!

"you MUST FIRST flash either the NDC tar(see below for link)"

Is that the "Stock Tar OP" link, or some other link I'm not seeing?

I already have Philz installed from the 4.3 rooted rom installed (thanks again), but I understand I need the boot loader that comes from this NDC tar before I install the 4.4.2 rom with Philz. After flashing this NDC tar with odin, will I have to reinstall Philz?

(and what does the acronym NDC stand for? just curious)

Ndc is the last three letters in the build number. Look at you about phone/baseband. If you were 4.3 it probably says mk5. Flashing the ndc stock tar in odin will put your phone to completely stock 4.4.2. It contains the rom, bootloader, everything. No more flashing required after.
If you want root then use odin to flash recovery. I see you use philz. It's fine, but philz development is long dead. Better off using twrp. Get it here
Then of course flash SuperSU in twrp.
But no need to flash the rom zip after flashing the tar. The rom is in the tar.
