and after you Run the:
One Click Root for SCH-R720 Run.bat file.....

Get Root Checker...to verify root access and BusyBox installation.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en

Get busybox from this installer (it has alot of versions to choose from)
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrummy.busybox.installer&feature=re

***install busybox to the system/xbin directory***

***if root checker says busybox is not installed or you get a busybox error,
just install another version of busybox until root checker give you the A-Ok.

i did everything you told me to and i keep getting the same error why i dont know i"m still stock in this

come on people please help me figure out why i can get it rooted?

i have superuser install on the phone maybe my superuser is not working properly

Did you drag superuser.apk right from the One Click Root folder and install it from your sdcard?
or did you install superuser from the market ?
(some people are having problems with the newer version from the market)

here is the superuser.apk right from the One Click Root folder..
unzip then drag superuser.apk to your sd card, install it,
then run the oneclickroot run.bat while your phone is connected and usb debugging is on.

just a thought:
(p.s.) leave the original copy of the superuser.apk in the one click root folder.
(maybe when you dragged it to your sd card it removed it from the folder instead of copy it.)

So I rooted my Admire earlier and downloaded the Android Mate app to delete some bloatware. I gave it superuser permission and after attempting to delete google books 5 times it kept saying it was deleted but I could still see it in the /system/app directory. So then I tried using Root Explorer but it tells me that I can't because the file is read only. Can someone help me out here? I know I'm rooted and have superuser installed so why can't I delete the bloatware?

Is USB Debugging on, also you need root to update the prl.

I've gotten my phone rooted, USB debugging was on, I just installed superuser, updated thebinary, and it moved su to xbin and downloaded busybox. :D Everything is working fine. However no 3G, can you explain how to update the PRL? I tried *228, to update the roaming list. That didn't work.

I copied this from locklady and just fixed this up.

Very cool, im so glad to see its working for others as well as it is for me. Id swear my battery is even lasting longer, lol If anyone needs it >>>--> Here is a little guide to help install the 3024.prl file to a phone The person who wrote the instructions i followed has a LG optimus m. and I have a Samsung Admire SCH-r720. and this worked for me.
1. Download USB driver and install on your computer
2. Download 3024.prl
3. Download and install QPST 2.7
4. You will also need your Spc code. Your Spc code can be obtained by putting your MEID either here MEID Converter - http://www.meidconverter.com/. ***Now Make sure USB debugging on phone is enabled***
5. Connect phone to computer
6. Open device manager expand ports and make note of what COM port your USB device is on
7. -Open up QPST configuration- If COM port is not shown, select add port and enter COM# (# being the one seen in device manager) then
8. -Open up Service Programming- (phone must be selected to continue) On the main menu setting tab click read from phone. It will ask for your SPC code(enter it) then it will obtain the phone info.
9. Look for roam tab and there will be an option under preferred roaming to search for new prl. locate it(3024.prl) and select write.

no it just ends.. i tryed to reinstall the drivers again using the link provided now... it doesnt even get past

[* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *
error: unknown host service
"
[*] Triggering core dump..."
[1] Segmentation fault app_process /dev...]

after that it just shuts off.
and the phone is left vibrating until i shut it off and then back on...

Same thing happened with me 2 days ago. After you get the phone on, you go to market and install SuperUser, then hit the menu button (in SU) click preferences, and then update binary. SU will then install everything, and you will be rooted.

operable program or batch file.
