Root [ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

So a user at Droidforums found a much better GB keyboard, actually out of kejar's GummyJar ROM. I've added it to the goodies section in the 2nd post. It's full sized, just like the stock MT keyboard. This will be in the next version of Apex by default, but for now, you'll need to flash an extra file:

Please put in a command line switch to revert to the current GB keyboard if possible on the next release. I don't want it to be a single bit bigger - love the existing one.

I was wondering if the clock removal for the black bar is still working? On my cousins X when he tries to install it, the system force closes and requires a batt pull and restore.. Anyone else?

I installed mine through clockwork. Rom Manager has been having issues and i am not sure if it is working right. If you do it through clockwork then it works great...

I just did this (installed thru clockwork), it sat at the bootanim for a long, long time, came up with a force close, I hit that, it rebooted into clockwork recovery, just hit the Reboot now (or whatever it says) and it came back just fine. So far so good

Hmm... Is anyone else's microphone not working AT ALL? I cannot talk to anyone, I can't use Voice search, I can't use voice to text. I can't do anything! I don't understand what's going on right now..

Also, I just realized I cannot call ANYONE at all. It says it's connecting, but there is no ringtone and if they pick up, I can't hear anything. It's as though I've lost access to microphone and ear phone, but using the speaker to listen to music or anything works perfectly..

My goodness Fab. I don't know what's going on.

Come to think of it, I was going to work yesterday and I had to call to tell them to let me in and it wouldn't ring or anything. I was confused and thought it was a bug a restart could fix, but it didn't work. I don't use my phone to talk much, but I do love to use voice to text and voice commands. Please help me ASAP.

Try pulling the battery. I had the calling issues a while back and after a battery pull all was good...

You probably did but just wondering... did you uninstall the update for voice search before installing 1.3.1? Not sure if that would affect your voice functions if you didnt though.. ?

I did that and I was able to connect the call and hear it via Speakerphone, but microphone and earphone still don't work.

I did not actually uninstall this before updating, but I can't see that having a negative effect on it. I also didn't create a Nandroid as I thought it would be all right regardless. So what do I do now?

My ear piece was not working, so I did the *228 and reprogrammed the phone again and rebooted and that fixed it for me. I did not have a microphone issue though.

Found an issue with wifi I think
Turn on wifi, it connects and gets an ip address like normal but the second I try to use any data through it wifi drops then it goes to 3g, then tries to go back to wifi, connects then drops again
tested it with scanner radio (turn on scanner and wifi drops), pandora (turn on pandora and wifi drops), and even in the browser (open browser, try to go to local news page and wifi drops)
anyone else able to recreate this?

I should note, this worked on 1.3. this wifi issue is new as of 1.3.1
