Well, that's just SPIFFY! I get "This item is not available on your carrier" when I try to install. That BITES!!

Initially only intended for UK/TV license holders.

However, it may be released later in the year to the US market on a subscription basis.

I don't see the attraction in watching BBC documentaries and programmes on a 4" screen when I can view them on a 17" or 27,5" screen on my Macs' iPlayer. Plus: video eats enormous amounts of data, so it would destroy my data plan outside WiFi, reducing the usefulness of iPlayer on smartphones to practically zilch IRL.

So an iPlayer on Android (or iOS) is funny, but IRL useless to me.
