Phandroid and Androidforums.com's New Look!

I still have one of the old pages up.

The line at the top has always been there, title or not. Probably wasn't noticed because the old design wasn't as clean as this one.

The line is confusing. I like it separating a post from a signature, but having it at the top is kind of odd.

Maybe time to re-think now that it's noticeable.

When you view the forum from firefox, it looks great!

However, when you view it in chrome, the font is a fixed size. That's a real problem for those of us with poor eyesight (including me :p), as zooming into the page no longer increases the font size. :(

The new look is cool i just have a suggesstion that if we want to delete a quote then we should have a different tab for it so that we can directly delete it as i have tried to delete my quotes where i have posted twice or some quotes which we posted wrong but when i try to select the tab it says edit or delete but i never found how to delete a qoute as when i select that tab of edit or delete it only edits the quote dint gvies an option to delete completly the quote so please include my suggesstion in your to do list and provide us a tab to delete the quote. and one more thing when i select a multiquote i dint find how to put 2 or 3 quote in a single quote can you let me know that also.

Thanks.

For multiquotes, hit the multiquote button on all but the last post you want to quote. Then hit the normal quote button on the final post you want to quote, and they'll all be there.

I'm not sure what you mean about deleting quotes though. You can just edit your post and remove everything between the [quote][/quote] tags to remove a quote.

Blah. I like "thanks" feature more than "likes". How about we keep the "Thanks" and rename it "Like"? But I'm fine with whatever the masses choose.

FYI... Wi-Fi here SUCKS! Right after IO keynote ends we're running back to the hotel to get up some vids from the event.

Believe it or not, I'm with the boss on this one. :) :vroam:

I like the overall design much better... however, you youngsters, please spare a thought for the old farts, like me, who are at an age where reading glasses and slightly larger fonts are a must.

It's not my fault that I was born too early!

I'm browsing on firefox for the moment. Zooming in on that does increase font size as you would expect.

Is there a way to put an acceleration or delay factor in the top-of-page mouse-overs for the Phandroid sites?

When I use the browser update tool or type in a url, it causes annoying flashing as I mouse past them.

And I know that this won't fit with policy, but I still think that having a million people learn that while in the forums, Home != Forums home, you have to slide over to the Forums on the other side - is kind of wrong.

The Phandroid logo just above the Home does the same thing. Maybe just move the Forums to the far left and drop Home, both from here and Phandroid.com. I think that's better and is simpler.

No one, I think, is going to use the smaller Home button to get to Phandroid when the web de facto standard exists - tap the logo.

PS - plus it puts Forums and Phandroid links closer together. ;)

Came here to say that. The old nav-bars must have had a built in delay, as they never used to open when you just skimmed past them with the mouse.

Thanks and like are basically the same thing, except one keeps a tab at the top of the thread highlighting the top clicked. Which is useful.

I fail to understand why one might choose "thanks" instead!

I agree.

However, there is the issue of tapatalk not currently supporting likes, whereas it does support thanks.
