Root [ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

im on adw launcher ex as of yesterday and its an awesome add on to your rom! if you have $4.00 bucks on you (i know times are hard) i was wondering tho when i reboot my phone two widgets in particular do not come back AND even though they are installed on my phone when i press and hold to add back the widget it doesnt even show them to add..palmary weather and widgetsoid..why would that be?

Hey Fab how are you gonna go about theming ADW EX?

Unlike the original ADW, EX is a commercial app (worth every penny) so I do not see any legitimate developer offering a themed version (if that is what you are asking). There is a gingerbread adw theme available in the market (search adw gingerbread) but so far has been getting poor reviews.

You made a nandroid backup before you applied the theme, I hope. Restore from it and you will be back to the original battery icon.

Edit: I may have misunderstood your question. Do you want to keep NexTheme just not with the round battery icon?

I'm getting more random locks/reboots and that weird hang on reboot/force close error than I did on 1.3.0. Hope the next round cures it.

Yep, I was too.

I have gone back to 1.3.0 for the time being. Hoping the next revision will take care of those issues.

(this is my first attempt at a rom, after much rooting and general hacking..) not sure how much different it will be than my customized "stock" rom other than lacking more blur

Exactly right. I've flashed ROMs and decided that I didn't like them and simply restored and everything was right as I left it including all app data like texts and game saves.

I didn't until 1.3.1. Fab put in a new startup script that can be disabled and since I did that I have been rock solid again.

It was a few pages back......

Try typing the following into terminal emulator:

su
sys -rw
mv /system/usr/bin/setup_bt.sh /system/usr/bin/setup_bt
sys -ro
reboot


That'll turn off the startup script. I'm going to have to play around with that a little more, as it's causing some users issues

Hey Fab, just one more thing in regards to the screen not shutting off. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with ending a call with the power button (under settings > accessibility). Since turning this off I have not had the issue anymore.

The only thing left to figure out is the brightness changing on it's own...

Not overclocked. I'm not saying there are a lot of hangs, but there seem to be more than 1.3.0, and the hang on reboot (when it crashes, forcing a reboot) is 100%.

Thanks, glad I ran across this little tidbit (16th time through this thread though!). I tried to run the uninstall for Madden and couldn't get it to work successfully....until I added the capital "M" and it worked perfectly!
